Dr. Brooke Burkhalter

Dr. Brooke Burkhalter is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained her DVM - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Although a native Floridian, she remains a Georgia Bulldog at heart!

Dr. Burkhalter has a special interest in kidney diseases. Kidney failure is an unfortunate, yet common disease of our animal friends. This interest stems from several personal losses she has experienced. Dr. Burkhalter also has strong interests in abdominal ultrasound and soft tissue surgery.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Burkhalter and her husband avidly enjoy the outdoors. While boating and fishing are her favorite past times, she also enjoys camping and most other outdoor activities. Currently, Dr. Burkhalter's only children include her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chloe,and 2 cats, Marley and Joey. Chloe is making her modeling debut at the St. John's Pet Shop!
